Chicken in Orange Sauce
This Chicken in Orange Sauce recipe is not only quick and easy to make but also absolutely delicious. Orange sauce has a great flavour and compliments the chicken.

CHICKEN IN ORANGE SAUCE
Makes 4 Servings
2 lbs chicken thighs, cut in halves
3 tbsp vegetable oil ½ tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp allspice 2 tbsp flour
½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp grated ginger
salt and pepper to taste
Step 1: Wash meat in water and vinegar or water and lime juice solution.
Step 2: Drain water from meat, then add, pepper, ginger, allspice and soy sauce.
Step 3: In a small mixing bowl, mix flour, salt and garlic powder, then lightly coat pieces of chicken with flour mixture.
Step 4: Heat medium skillet over low flame, then add oil and allow to heat.
Step 5: When oil is heated, fry chicken pieces until golden brown. Transfer fried chicken to absorbent paper to drain.
Step 6: Pour orange sauce over chicken and serve.
ORANGE SAUCE RECIPE
¼ cup orange juice
1 tbsp orange zest, grated ½ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice 2 tbsp vinegar
2½ tbsp soy sauce 3 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp grated ginger 3 tbsp water
Step 1: In a large sauce pan, combine orange juice, water, soy sauce, lemon juice, orange zest, ginger and vinegar.
Step 2: Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 3 minutes.
Step 3: Combine sugar and cornstarch, put flame on low and stir constantly until sauce is thick.
