Fish Fillet in Lemon Sauce
Fish fillet in lemon sauce is a tasty healthy dinner recipe, but is also suitable for just any occasion. Whether an at home special, a lunch dish, for a picnic or a grand occasion.
In the below fish recipe, the fish that is used is trout, and lemon sauce is always the best choice for any seafood recipe. The omega-3 fatty acids in this fish provide many health benefits, some of which includes: reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack and heart diseases, reducing the bad cholesterol in your body and also protects your body against circulatory problems.
INGREDIENTS FOR FISH:
Makes 6 Servings
6 trout fillets
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
fish seasoning for dusting fish
oil for frying
Step 1: Season fish fillet with fish seasoning, ( its always best to allow seasoning to marinate for at least 1 hour).
Step 2: Melt butter in large frying pan and add garlic. Add oil and let heat over medium to low heat.
Step 3: When heated, add fish fillets and allow to brown on both sides until cooked through.
Step 4: Remove from frying pan to large plate. Sprinkle parsley over fish and cover.
INGREDIENTS FOR LEMON SAUCE:¼ cup butter
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 granulated sugar
1 ½ cup water
4 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon rind
¼ tsp salt
Step 1: Melt butter in saucepan. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to butter, then add sugar and salt and mix.
Step 2: Gradually stir in water.
Step 3: Cook, constantly stirring until mixture boils and becomes thick and clear.
Step 4: Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and rind.
Step 5: Pour over fish or use as desired.
You can also change up your sauce a bit to make it into a lime butter sauce, which is also a good choice for seafood. As always, youwe can never go wrong with citrus and seafood.
Instead of using lemon juice, you would use ½ cup of lime juice, 2 tbsp unsalted butter and exclude the granulated sugar and lemon rind following the same method.
This fish dish is also great with steamed broccoli and white rice. Of course you can use any starch that suits your taste, but a combination of steamed broccoli and white rice with this delectable fish recipe will without a doubt add great taste and great nutritional value to your diet.
